I’ve researched the live cd and it seems safe, but would it, by any chance, accidently overwrite my current Operating System while i’m trying Ubuntu out? Because I was planning to use Wubi later on to dual boot, but that’s anyother story.
So is it safe? I know it’s an odd question, but I want to know.

i want to try out linux for the first time but i don’t know if i should install it using wubi or burning a live cd?
also what are some cool things you can do with ubuntu that you can’t in windows vista?
What I mean is, are there any ways to install a linux os as a software, like how you can install ubuntu with wubi.
I want to be able to dual boot linux with vista.
I want to be able to try other operating systems, I mean actually use it and not just try it using the live cd.
I did dual boot ubuntu and vista for some time. Want to try other distros.
