Does the Windows Vista partition of “Disk Management” work for an Ubuntu installation?

I’ve heard that this partitioning is still full of bugs – has anyone any experience running it and installing Linux on the next partition?

How do I dual boot Ubuntu and Vista on my laptop?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4467 laptop that came pre-loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium. I want to dual-boot it with Ubuntu. I can’t spend any money. Can someone give me a link or leave instuctions to do so? I will also use anothe version of Linux as long as it is free and comes with a GUI.

my computer froze up and now i get this error no bootable devices…on vista?

Bios has no problem detecting hard drive. I can’t access my partition c(thats the only one i have on the disk) I tried using diskpart to access partition without any luck. Disk shows as raw. I know I could format it but iam trying to avoid it. I tried Bootrec.exe/fixmbr but not sure how do i direct it to partition c any tips would be greatly apreciated.
Meanwhile iam downloading live linux cd.
I used live linux cd to backup all my data and than format and reinstall evrything works great now.

Help plz! Linux wifi?

I have made several different live cd’s from different linux distros but i keep encountering the same problem. I connect to the internet through wifi and can’t seem to find that connection option on any of the linux distros. On Vista its as simple as going to connect to/ then searching for the wifi signal. Anyone know how to connect using wifi on any linux distro??
