Good softwares that run on Ubuntu from a usb stick?

Hi. I’m on a shared computer, so I can’t install ubutnu. I just run it from a live CD. Are there any good ubuntu software I can run from a usb stick, without installing them onto linux? (since its sorta impossible to do on the live cd)
