I have a 2.0 GB usb 2 thumb drive and want to put Linux on it to boot from, like a live CD Idead, only not as limiting on drive space. Thanks!! Also which distro is best?

Can you boot ubuntu through flash drive?
About a month ago my 80gb ps3′s blue ray lazer went to crap, so me being impatient just went out and bought another playstation 3 (im addicted to cod mw2). Anyways i want to install linux on my old ps3, considering it still runs. But the problem is i cant boot a live cd. So can you boot ubuntu on the ps3 through a thumb drive?
