I’ve been thinking of buying a laptop to start testing out Linux OS and some Java programming, the only problem is the hardware compatibility i read that using a Live-CD before installing is the most effective way, but the point is I’m deciding the laptop in base on it’s compatibility so can’t really try it out, anyway i got my eyes on the DELL Inspiron 1520 & 1525, reading around i found out that dell supports Ubuntu, but at the same time some say that vista drivers are not compatible so kinda confused any help would be appreciated!!
