Ubuntu Loading!?

I want to dual boot Linux Ubuntu to my computer, along side Windows XP. I requested live CDs, however that may take 6-10 weeks. I want to download the current version of Ubuntu, save it to a CD and then boot it along side XP. If you can tell me how to do this, or give me a link with details on how to save Ubuntu to a CD, and then load it ALONG SIDE XP, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Need to install Windows XP. I don’t have an install CD, but I have a product key on the side of my machine?

I bought an old machine from a yard sale for $5. Unfortunately, the guy who I’d bought it from’s company had wiped the hard disk in some way and had left the physical hard drive clanging around in the case, unattached to anything.

So I re-attach the hard drive in the right places and screw it into the case. I got it booting into Win XP install mode, but it wanted me to insert an install CD. I didn’t have one at the time (and still don’t) so I installed Ubuntu from a Live CD.

However, my question doesn’t require knowledge of Linux or Ubuntu… I just want to know if I can somehow get a copy of Windows XP and install it into Virtualbox.

Think of it this way. I have a product key, but no CD. How can I obtain a copy of Windows XP Home Edition without having to buy another product key?

How can I install Ubuntu along side Vista without affecting Vista? I have the Ubuntu live CD, Can anyone help?

So, I want to be able to choose to boot from Vista Premium or Ubuntu Linux. I can use the partition software on the live CD but don’t know which partition to install it on, I have an Advent laptop, is is suitable to do this?
I do not want to damage my Vista at all. I have 4 partition spaces and 2 have a windows logo on them, can i safely use a blank one (even though they dont have nearly enough room)
