I know about PARTIMAGE, but is there a bootable CD that includes it? and being able to setup wifi card. Maybe some LIVE CD that may be easily modifiable so I can have wifi, and partimage on this. Please suggest me options.
Ultimate Boot CD has linux and partimage, but I do not know how to enable wifi so I can restore partition stored in remote server.
(needles to say that Norton Ghost or any commercial application is out of question)

I was wondering if there was a way to setup roaming user profiles i have three pcs a laptop a desktop both running xp home and finally a computer i just got i was going to use kinda like a server i mapped a network drive on it and was wandering if i could use it to store all the user profiles for the roaming users…it is running xp pro?? i dont know if that will work if not will a linux live cd work or something….Thanks in advance

Hallo!
I just downloaded and installed Ubuntu vers 7 (I burned it and created a live CD for now). I have used linux before in my high school computer repair class, but not ubuntu and we didn’t go into depth.
I am just playing around learning it, but a hinderence is the fact that the internet won’t work.
My parents have a wirelss router setup, and im trying to connect to that, (it is encrypted).
I have a windows xp media center, 1gig ddr ram, ati mobility radeon x600 256MB graphics card, AMD 64 mobile Athelon processor Gateway Notebook.
Any help? Also, could someone please elaborate on ubuntus versio of the CLI? can’t remember what it’s called right now, srry.

I have Knoppix ISO (690MB) on a CD. This is the only file on the CD. But it doesn’t boot PC. Do I need to have any extractor on the CD or extract the ISO files on CD or hard disk? Boot order of PC is O.K. If there is any other better ISO, preferably a smaller one in size, please inform that too as I have never used Linux. Does the PC setup require any changes to run Linux as currently I am using XP?
