Well, I put in the Ubuntu 7.10 CD. I did all the partitioning and installing. Then it prompted for me to reboot. So I press ‘restart’, and I take the live CD out and push the CD drive back in. I see the ubuntu screen, and the orange bar starts diminishing and getting smaller. But then, it just freezes there. The computer won’t reboot and the ubuntu screen just freezes.
Help! What should I do? It’s been frozen for about half an hour now…

ok so i got ubuntu downloaded from that gutsy gibbon guy and its sitting in my uttorent files now i know how to make a live cd and then reboot and install linux that way. But i was wondering if there was a way to just open it from my uttorent files and install it. im also going to make a dual boot on my c drive with windows xp which im already using and ubuntu.( i dont need u to tell me how to dual boot im just saying that i am dual booting in case it affects anything when trying to install ubuntu from uttorent in windows xp.) anyways plz help =)

i am using knoppix live cd and while working on i created some files can i save this ..so that when i reboot using live cd the files will be there….pls advice
to install the linux fedora 7 ver. 7 ,x86 , live , bin cd for the complete instalation of the os into my systems hard drive …is there any bug inside it .please guide me …….

when i tried to reboot after the complete instalation of the linux fedora 7 ver 7 ,x86 from a live ,Bin cd …i didnot find any bitton or command line to reboot or shut down the system .due to that the installation didnot realised in practical way …………….please guide me how to fix it what to do………………as am new in linux fedora 7 invironment
