How do i create a Wakepup Floppy Under Linux?

im switching between my xubuntu live cd to a Puppy Linux running from a USB FD, i downloaded Wakepup which allows your old pc to boot from your USB device but its a windows Installer, its design for windows and i dont have access to it right now. So how can i create the Boot up floppy under Linux?

Ubuntu installer, pressing enter does nothing?

I have a Ubuntu live cd and I have installed it successfully on 2 computers, yet it won’t install on this one. When I get to the cd boot menu I have “try without installing”, “install” etc. Clicking enter on any option causes the cd to whirr for a second and the harddrive to light up momentarily. Then…nothing. I can move up and down the menu again and enter still does nothing. I have puppy linux running on this (from a cd) fine. Any tips?
Thanks David, I would do that except this laptop refuses to boot from usb ;/ Many attempts have failed.

Ubuntu live CD broke GRUB, now what?

Long story short, a flaw in my 9.04 live CD has caused a GRUB file to disappear. My Ubuntu live cd’s stopped working, Puppy Linux live CD can’t find GRUB in my computer, and a Fedora live CD can’t even boot. I’ve tried everything I can think of to fix it, but nothing’s worked. Any ideas?

linux for old computers?

hey what are some new linux live cds out there that i can use for my old computer. i just need it to connect online using my itouch apps such as iphone modem or pdanet to connect online. i used puppy linux and damn small linux but both i cant get to use the itouch for online.

How can I make Puppy linux boot without a disc?

I installed (Full installation) puppy linux on my ancient VAIO PC. When I try to boot from hard disc it prints “Press A to reboot” which is actually an infinite loop to this message again after rebooting. The only way to boot is to insert the live cd. After that, Everything loads from the hard drive like magic. I have a linux partition (ext3) as well as a linux-swap. I just need puppy to boot alone without the disc.
I am sure it is installed. it even says that the mounted hard drive can’t be umounted because Puppy is USING it.
