is there any way to use Linux from my USB drive (like the ‘Live CD’)?

I don’t want to install Linux on my computer’s hard disk, but i’d like to use it from my pen drive (USB / Flash drive) just like Live Cd’s are used?

Any good enough version / distribution will do.
