Need help in recovering Suse Linux MBR?

I have both Windows 7 Ultimate and OpenSuse 11.2 in my PC. I recently reinstalled my Windows 7 and now I can’t boot into Linux. I’m also having OpenSuse 11.2 Live CD. I tried to recover linux that way but, I got options only to reinstall linux or start live CD. Please help me out guys…

what linux idstro would be best for an old pc?

i have an old gateway performace desktop pc withh penti.3 (733) and 512 ramm. i tried opensuse but for some reason wouldnt install nor would it boot from a live cd, it was almost there but after i had the curser showing the screen was black with no curser. any ideas?

A good Linux distribution for old pc (openSUSE or Ubuntu/Xubuntu)?

There is a sound driver problem on XP. The sound works on the live cd of Ubuntu.
Pentium III 700mhz single core
256mb ram
Ralink wireless-N (need the compatibility)

I know it’s weak.
XP is a bit slow (I can still play Half-Life at lowest resolution) and no sound.

Must run flash player.
Fast interface. (disabling the bells and whistles)
mostly for internet browsing.
Don’t suggest Puppy or DSL because they don’t support wifi, other hardware, or flash well.

openSUSE or Ubuntu (Xubuntu)?

Linux distro question? Which should I use?

Alright I think I am finally settled on the idea of converting to Linux. Or at least using a live cd to dual boot for awhile to see how my hardware will work with Linux. Which distro should I choose? I was thinking about Ubuntu with Wine so I can try to run Cubase for audio recording. However the distro quiz also recommended Mint,Mandriva, Xubuntu and OpenSuSe. What do you think?
looks pretty good..do you think my Lexicon Alpha will work with Ardour? Surely the drivers are compatible with Linux…
