I have to get in to replace volsnap.sys – I’ve played with Linux before but strictly on a Linux machine, never with Windows. How do I get into the file location to replace it if I can’t just click on the icons to lead me to where I need to be?

OK, I’m fairly smart. I’m also lazy. I only know Windows and want to switch to running Linux (maybe). I’ve decided that a good way to start is by using/trying a live cd version of Linux before committing fully, but which? It should be able to run windows based programs and connect to the ‘net via wireless USB network adapter. I’ve seen a few versions that are ultra small/compact. I think that I would want just the opposite. I want maximum functionality and options. These add-ons/plugins should come pre-installed and be pre-configured and work flawlessly. I don’t want much, do I !!! Anywayz,….does such a version exist? So far, it looks like it’s SLAX Kill Bill Edition 5.1.8.1.
Given enough time, I’ll probably figure it out myself. Just hoping I someone could jump start education in Linux.
THANKS.

Confused? Start with this video: www.youtube.com Since I’ve gotten a lot of questions asking what Linux is and how to try it out, I thought I’d do a several-part series providing an introduction to Linux. I am a complete linux noob and am trying to run the live cd but it will not work because there is a xserver error and then there is a bunch of junk going on so does anyone know how to fix this?
The bunch of junk is a status report but it is all jumbled up and in different spots
