Tried several live CDs…only Mepis seems to work, though slowly..would it be faster and run adequately if installed on hard drive ?

It should be a live cd, it should include firefox (or ephincy.) it should be easy to use for windows users, and it should support pentuim and amd based computers.
ok, not the third one. it should even be .deb based
please, no rpm or slackware based ones. slackware based isn’t cuting edge. also, rpm based is mostley for work.
Ok, changed. you can post near-cutting edge slackware based distros. also you can put in home use RPM based distros. if a distro you posted can fit in a 210mb cd, please tell me. oh, i didn’t mention protage. so i will add it.
you can now post all slackware based distros.
If you want, you can post what the sounds sound like.

i need to know what linux i should use to convince friends and such to switch or at least try it, preferably live cd’s such as knoppix, but they need to be a bit quick and not dreadfully slow like ubuntu live cds

i upgraded to windows 7 about a year ago and i like it a lot.much better than crap vista.but i have been playing around with some linux live cds of late.i tried ubuntu and passed on that.tried fedora 12 and liked very much.but my favorite linux distro i have looked at is pclinuxos 2010 .it blew me away.if it wasn’t for windows 7 i would dump windows all together and go pure linux.my problem is i like windows 7 and pclinuxos a lot.what little i find on the net says windows 7 and pclinuxos 2010 don’t get along.can i dual boot 7 and pclinuxos 2010 or do i have to make a choice.would love to have them both.thanks to anyone who can give me a straight answer.
