BSOD on my inspiron 9400 every time it turns on.?

All right, today my laptop (inspiron 9400) running windows xp home edition randomly started giving me blue screen of death every time it’s turned on with this error (STOP 0×000000024 (0×00190203,0×87335828,0xc0000102,0×00000000), then later my cousin found the windows xp cd and every time we tried to use it we got this error (stop 0×000000078 (0xc0000005,0xf786a0bf,0xf7cb6208,0xf7cb5f08)
pci.sys-address f786a0bf base at f7863000,datestamp 3b7d855c), and we also tried using a live linux cd or something to be able to salvage some files to an external hard drive which is all I REALLY want to do then I’ll get my cousin to wipe it and install windows or linux on it again..but yeah, how can I salvage my files? I really need to know :(

Cancel XP setup!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Hi all!!! I am not very computer literate so pls bear with me..I had some problems with my win xp, eg vfiruses, etc.a friend suggested reinstalling xp home edition sp2.the problem is, half way through the install process a blue screen comes up with errors and doesnt go any further..tried starting the pc again, but goes back to setup and same thing, cant boot into safe mode,etc..I just wanna cancel the setup and go back to the original os.HOW CAN I DO THIS…also worth noting is that i am living in spain, so the xp i got is in spanish, so i am not able to fully understand the errors..I searched on google and some of the answers were to use a linux live cd and get rid of setup but none of the answers said how this should be done….Any help would be greatly appreciated…THANKS

Issues Uninstalling Ubuntu; Not recoginzing full size of partition after resizing?

I had an XP home and Ubuntu dual boot installation and I tried to uninstall Ubuntu by following this guide: http://users.bigpond.net.au/hermanzone/p18.htm.

I did the first step successfully and restored the windows boot loader with FIXMBR.

The second step however didn’t go so well. I used gparted on the Ubuntu Live CD to delete the Linux partitions but when to tried to resized the Windows NTFS partition from 37 GB to 75 GB it came up with an error. However when I rebooted and when back into gparted it appered as though it worked and showed the NTFS partition as being 75 GB. Though when I restarted into windows and checked the c: drive in My Computer it still showed the size as 37 GB. Though when I check the size in windows Diskpart it shows the size as 75 GB.

What am I doing wrong?

I don’t have to reformat after resizing, do I?
