I’m basically going to help a buddy install a keylogger into his fiance’s computer, because I caught her “doing something bad” with another guy in her car outside of a bar while he was out of town. He believes me but wants evidence so she’ll be the one stuck paying the deposits for all of their wedding plans when he cancels them.
Anyways, we obviously don’t want her to know that we know, just yet. So, to install the keylogger without knowing (or messing up) her Vista password, I was wondering if I could use a Linux live CD (so at this point, we’ll have access to her hard drive and system) AND download/install a keylogger.
The reason I ask is, 1. I’m not sure if you can install ANYTHING using a Live CD, and 2. I’m not sure if installing this program while using Linux would actually write to the correct directory and the registry itself (this program is made to boot with Windows).
Any technical input on this?
