Dual booting Linux Mint and Vista (Vista installed first)?

When I get to the partitioning step of Felicia (from the Live CD), it just says “no root file system defined” or something, obviously I need to set the mount point of (in my case /dev/sda2) and set it to mount point “/”.

My question is how do I do that? There is no option to change the mount point, when i mount it in Computer, it just auto mounts to /Media/disk.

Here is a picture of my gParted, http://img26.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gpart.png

btw i cannot format the whole drive because /dev/sda1 has windows and my files on it.

Help!
the apc guide was the first thing i tried, dont be cheap trying to score two point by stating the obvious. and also that guide is designed for Ubuntu not Mint, even though Mint is based on Ubuntu it is slightly different.
maybe i need to do something in terminal?

I would like to build an Integrated Web Server that supports uploading and downloading files, but how?

There is a great program called “Easy File Sharing Web Server” (http://www.file-sharing.com) that does exactly what I want to do. However, it costs money that I do not want to put down at this point.

I did some research and found I can create an Integrated Web Server with Apache (http://www.appservnetwork.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=46). I’ve configured all my ports and got a basic webpage to come up.

Now I need to build a webpage that allows:
- Users to log in
- Users to upload and download files

I know very basic HTML, so I would need to find a free HTML editor that could assist me with this. Particularly building an interface to upload and download files. (I don’t even know where to start with this.)

Does anyone have any recommendations? Does anyone know if there is a Live CD (linux or otherwise) that can provide this sort of setup?

Any help would be appreciated. I know what I’m asking for is complex.

How do I install Ubuntu 8.10 over Mac os 10.5?

Ok, I wanted to install Ubuntu on my 500GB external hard drive. Well actually at the time I was trying to install Kubuntu on it. Ok so I selected my external hard drive, and hit install. So once I installed, I wanted to test it by holding alt (option) after the mac turns on. So I held down alt, and instead of it showing all the bootable drives/CDs, the screen just stayed grey until a file with a question mark appeared on the screen. So I’m like ” HOLLY SH*T!!!!!! I INSTALLED IT OVER OS 10!!!!!” So I inserted the Live CD and held down alt and selected it. And big whoop-de-do, Linux and Mac OS X are gone! So I decided I will buy the Mac CD off Amazon, but until then I will need some kind of OS. So I am trying to install Ubuntu 8.10 so I can either hold down alt and select it or it will just go straight to Linux. So bottom line, I just need to find a way to install Ubuntu Linux 8.10 desktop onto my computer so it will be bootable.
Oh yah I’m using the live CD right now and I have an Intel based Mac Mini. (I’m not too sad OS X got erased, I think I had a virus anyway lol)
Oh and also I can’t call a technition because if my dad finds out he will beat be dead. Luckily he dosn’t use this computer.

Please help me with Ubuntu Live CD!?

I wanna have Linux on my Apple iMac G3 700, and I dont want to delete my Mac OS X. I searched for may Linux distributions but still I dont have a solution. I downloaded Linux 8.04 .iso file and I burned it to a CD using Disk Utility (I know .iso files are burned differently). Thn I restarted my computer while holding C key. Black screen with text appeared and it said something like: Welcome to Linux… the default settings are:live… press tab key for options… press enter key if you dont know what to do because it is gonna start Linux(not really)… if you can not start type video=ofonly…
First I pressed just enter (which is the same as not pressing nothing , because if you wait the startup continues) and white screen appeared and than my computer shut down (i think it shut down, but the light of the power button was still on). Later I started my computer while holding the C key and than I typed video=ofonly but white screen appeared and then it gone blach with message Loading… and than disappeared (there was black screen with _ ,i was probably supposed to write something but I dont know what).
So please help me I wanna start my Ubuntu Live CD without installing nothing but that is what I get. If you know how to start the Live CD on PPC tell me but keep it simple :-)
My iMac has 700Mhz G3 processor, 60 GB HD, 512MB RAM, Mac OSX 10.3.9… and it is supported by Ubuntu.
If you know other version of Linux that can be started without installing nothing or is easy to install, tell me. Thank you for reading
