I was trying to install Linux and the installation failed so I tried to go back into Windows and it said “0 active”. (probably meaning partitions) The only thing I can do is use this Ubuntu Live CD I burned.

I am a complete linux noob and am trying to run the live cd but it will not work because there is a xserver error and then there is a bunch of junk going on so does anyone know how to fix this?
The bunch of junk is a status report but it is all jumbled up and in different spots
ok i burned the iso file onto a cd, it is bootable, i have made the cdrom drive the first one in the boot order in the BIOS, and it will not run linux when i try to boot from the cd! evertime it brings up an error saying: “Cannot load DOS! press any key to retry” what should i do!?
i have used about 15 different cds 2 dvds and 3 different live cd distros of linux i need help
i havent tried it in another computer to see if it is bootable, but when i restart the computer it reads the disc like it is going to boot from it but then brings up the error
and yes the program i used said burin .iso to disc and that is the one i clicked
