Please suggest a good place to download a self-extracting or other easy to install copy of DSL-N (Linux)?

I have tried: ftp://ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/damnsmall/
which led me to:

ftp://ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/damnsmall/dsl-n/current/

The files are not self-extracting, and I am being asked to associate them, to open them within Windows -on my computer which I formatted, I can’t access the files at ALL, to run.

PLEASE help, I want to convert 3 of my computers over (2 Pentium 2′s, and 1 Pentium 3.

Thanks.

How do you get an ISO Image onto a disc, and then use it to install Linux?

The version is Damn Small Linux, or sometimes referred to as DSL. I have a CD burner, CD-R, and the ISO on my desktop, but even using Express Burn, no sucess. When I find out how to do that, how is it that I start using the Linux OS? Its supposedly a live CD, which makes me wonder, when you save something, where does it go? Or is Linux a web browsing only OS? Whatever it is, it isnt Windows, so i would like to figure out how to use it! :)

How to actually run DSL live CD from CD?

Well I download Damnsmall Linux and burned it to a CD but how do I run it when my computer’s loading?

What is a good version of linux for my old computer?

I have this really old HP Pavilion (7360). It has 72 or 75 mb of ram, 266mhz MMX processor, and a 5gig hard drive. I was thinking of a version of Ubuntu for it, but would it run too slow? I already tried DSL linux, with its 1x(something around that speed) CD drive the live CD didn’t run well. If there are other versions that would work good please tell me. P.S. I used to have 98 on it, but I was fooling around with DSL linux and deleted the windows partition.
Well I tried Xubuntu 6.06.1 and Slitaz and neither worked! Slitaz just stayed at a screen, and Xubuntu found errors and didn’t do any thing els.
