I need a Linux Live CD that will boot into a GUI supporting at least 1024×768 resolution on an nVidia graphics card, and auto-recognizes nForce4 6150 gigabit ethernet NIC. So far, all of the ones that I try fail one or the other. I’ve tried pendrivelinux, ubuntu, and slax. No love.
I don’t need 3D support, just higher resolution than 800×600 that the other distro’s boot into.
Unfortunately, the control panel applet doesn’t allow higher resolution than 800×600, probably because it always boots with the VESA driver. Why won’t it use the built in nv driver?
