How to use an Ubuntu Live CD

Ever wanted to try out Ubuntu without installing it or changing your PC? Now you can with the Ubuntu Live CD. Although you’ve been able to get a live CD for a couple years, this is my video on it now. Just put the CD in your computer, then boot. If it doesn’t boot into Ubuntu, you’ll have to go into your BIOS, all explained in the video. If your BIOS supports it, you could also try pressing F12 when you boot and select the “boot from CD/DVD” option. gOS 3 Gadgets Final – Ubuntu Linux for Netbooks

gOS 3 default installation. gOS Gadgets 3 is a special Ubuntu distribution made for netbooks. It is based on Ubuntu 8.04.1. You can download the Installation disk from www.thinkgos.com It is a Live CD so you can try it on you desktop or laptop without making any changes to your computer. Tried the Live CD on my Wife’s Dell Inspiron 1525 and everything worked great except I couldn’t get the wireless working. I’m sure I could have gotten it working with some tweaking though. Comes with everything you need including Firefox, GIMP, OpenOffice and Wine 1.0.
