It has nothing to do with the CD’s, I tried them on other computers, they worked fine. But I can’t get it to load on this dell computer…it just boots straight into Windows when I put the restart the computer with the CD in. I’ve also tried different version of Linux, none work.
You need to change the boot sequence by entering the CMOS setup. Press F2 immediately after you power on. Once you are inside the CMOS setup change the boot sequest and it would work for sure. You have to be very quick.

You need to set your computer to boot from the CD (optical drive) in the bios.
Or
When the Dell is booting, do you see something like, “Press F12 for boot menu?” If so, hit the correct key and tell it to start from the CD.

It’s bootintg from the hard drive. You need to go into the BIOS and change the boot order making the CD Rom first.

Is your computer set to boot from CD before hardDrive? The boot order needs to be configured in the BIOS. Also, sometimes it will still ask you to “press enter to boot from CD”

You need to go into setup when you first turn it in, usually by holding down a key, it will tell what one. Then your in the BIOS and find the boot menu, and change it to boot from CD first.

You might need to tell it to go to the special boot screen.
Watch the screen when the big DELL comes on when you restart it, it should somewhere say something along the lines of:
F12 = Boot Menu
So, hit F12 before it boots to an OS (I’m not really sure when, I usually hit F12 until I get there, LOL). Then just pick Boot from CDROM when the Boot Menu pops up.
Alternatively, you can set it in the Boot Options to boot from CD first.
