It has nothing to do with the CD’s, I tried them on other computers, they worked fine. But I can’t get it to load on this dell computer…it just boots straight into Windows when I put the restart the computer with the CD in. I’ve also tried different version of Linux, none work.
Go into your BIOS settings and change your “Boot Device Order” to where cdrom drive is first.

You need to set your computer to “boot from CD” if possible, then “boot from hard disk” when you turn on your computer.

Turn off the computer. Then turn it on again. At the very beginging when the PC first turns on you will see the dell splash screen (that’s what they call it. its the dell logo) look for the setup option. its usually one of the function keys (F10, F11). When you are in setup be sure not to change anything except the boot order. Look for boot devices or boot order and change it so it the boot order to CD-rom 1st then HDD second, etc. F10 to save changes retry booting to cd.
