Ubuntu is the most comprehensive and easy I have personally used and Its more compatible with my hardware than Windows Vista. It automatically installed all the drivers for everything including my Nvidia 7800 gt Graphics card my Haupage Wintv 250 tv card. I had the same problem with my graphics as you at first but last month a new version Of Ubuntu was released and it fixed the problem.
