You need to find a fedora users board online. I think you have to install DEV for each device you want. After all, you mention run a live cd version.

Fedora is great, but it needs lots of pieces tweeked. Nobody on Yahoo! will have definitive fixes for Fedora.

  2. First, did you burn the fedora OS as an ISO image or did you simply download the files and burn them as data files? You Need the OS burned as ISO.. windows won’t do this. You need a program like nero.

check your burner properties too “enable recording”

  3. Use a DVD-R not a RW.
Download and install ImgBurn to burn the .iso
Make sure the burn is set to “Bootable”.
    Burn at a SLOW speed.
Also, verify the md5 or sha1 checksum of the downloaded file before burning. (no need to do this if using bit torrent)
Set the ImgBurn to verify the disc after burning.

I just did this with Fedora 8 Live CD and it booted up and ran fine on an old Dell Dimension 8100 with a Pentium IIII and 512MB RAM.
