  1. Sure. Pull all of the data out of it in OS X or Linux, then nuke it and start over. NTFS + numerous cross-platform utilities = trouble. Use FAT32 and format the drive as MBR if at all possible. It seems less prone to breaking when you mess with it under different OSes. As long as you don’t need 2GB+ files or specific bootability, you’re fine. Once you have it working properly under all three, don’t mess with it further.
