PcLinuxOS linux rocks!

This is a small clip i made from running a Live CD of PClinuxOS 2007 on my HP Pavilion zx5000. No changes made to the cd only selected the 3d Option in settings! Linux ROcks!

    I’ve been a big Windows XP fan, and up to now I hated Linux (tried Kubuntu, et al). But I downloaded PC Linux OS 2009 just to test my new Virtual Box installation… And I’m so impressed that I’m now in the process of cleaning out my Windows XP so I can FORMAT and migrate 100% to PC Linux OS! I never liked Linux ‘cuz it’s too complicated and just plain weird, but this distro is great. It even has a nice GUI (trust me–I’m an artist).

    How do u zoom out and drag around the cube? I just installed this and don’t know much about it yet

    By default, CTRL+ALT+Arrow Keys to rotate it, to zoom it and drag, CTRL+ALT+Move Mouse. I know you probably figured this out by now (2 weeks ago) but this may be of further use to some newcomers.

    Also, if you sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager you can launch it (cssm in term) and clicking on an option will show you what keys it uses.

    Nope, you just boot to a live cd and you can try out the operating system then just reboot and remove the cd. The live cd needs to work with your processor of course.

    Simple compiz effect usable on practically any linux OS. I used it for about a week then went back to deskwall. good for showing off linux OS’s to people but thats about all.

    Genius tune selection tho, makes a change from all the shit heavy metal that plagues youtube vids. :)

    I agree with u that it is only good for showing of.
    After i made this little film i set it back to normal :-) . But it was around the release of Vista. I thought linux can do more! HAHA.

    I i like the tune also :-) thanks :-) . I also hate the heavy metal :-s

    I use it all of the time. It speeds up work flow and allows me to see more than two desktops, via cube, without two monitors.

    @director10min – To be completely honest you’re just being ripped off by paying/using MS products. You spend more time fixing problems than actually using the damn OS. Been using using linux for some time now and I can honestly say I don’t look back. And it’s free!

    To conclude – You’re a retard for your stupid comments and your insufficient knowledge of OS’s.

    @paldepind YEs like several people said before you, But PClinuxOS was the Only distribution (at the time) that made it work out of the box.
