Pardus 2009.1 live cd…….KDE with a turkish twist….

Here we have pardus from turkey,a gov sponsored Linux development i am led to believe, and this incarnation is very nice too,now the version i downloaded did not have any installer so have had to run it in the box to get a capture for you,but on the whole its quite good, but i will wait for the new version with the installer (2010) and then give it another go. Watch in fullscreen and HD………….

  7. it seems that the aspect ratio has been altered somewhere along the line :) . I like the videos. Because of YOU I installed Slitaz on my old laptop. Works VERY well.

@mearsy09 I know the feeling too though, I keep going back to KDE because I hear of new versions and I see really snazzy really awesome looking KDE desktops set up and I can’t help trying it lol..but I can never stick with it. I have a sorta “warm” feeling with Gnome and some of the other desktop environments and feel like I have more control over it…having said that, I’m going to try a version of Puppy Linux with KDE soon LOL..
    It just doesn’t end..

  9. @ElderSnake90 Yeah that’s one reason i love gnome – Definitely having more control over the way it looks & feels.

  10. I’ve not been a great fan of KDE, I’ve tried to like the desktop only to find my self returning to GNOME. oh .. not forgetting the excellent Xfce desktop environment .

Did you try the separate 2009.1 Install CD? I’ve got the LiveCD here, but I noticed on their site there’s a separate one for Installing. I’m going to give it a shot and see what happens.
