When I was looking for an alternative operating system to Windows, I tried a few different versions of Linux. I never could get Freespire to run on my computer either, so I gave up on it. Ultimately, I selected Ubuntu and I’ve been very happy with it. I don’t know how to get Freespire to work so unless there’s some overwhelming reason why you HAVE to use it, it sounds like the frustration level just isn’t worth it. But here’s a tutorial to Freespire that might help:
