I have an old Toshiba laptop. Hard drive is fried. Used to run XP Home. now no more. I have been booting from LiveCD of Ubuntu and other forms of linux distributions with no problem. However, I want to run solely a slideshow (like the new picture frames) using a live-CD or a live-usb. How can I go about doing this? Software recommendations? Thanks!
use this http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ to put a linux OS on a usb.be sure that it can boot from a usb device. if not then run from a cd and store the photos or videos on the usb drive.not sure which distro would suit your needs.
