  1. what do you mean??

    it is very easy
It is more easy to install programs in Linux than in Windows or Mac it is much more hard and more clicks

watch my video on synaptic package manager so you can understand how linux package management is 1000 times better than a exe installer

  4. i understand and some of my videos are targeted towards newbies and some to savvy techs… also i have to cut out silence space in videos a lot to fit them into the 10 minute youtube limit and that is why it sounds like im talking fast coz u don’t hear much break between my sentences only due to editing… i have another server with uncut longer videos which are better and found on my site

  14. Linux Mint is definitely a lot more user friendly in many ways. Easier to use and a lot more fun. Look up Compiz Fusion (previously named Beryl).

I agree. I have a personal preferance for KDE cause of all it’s eye candy that Gnome just does not have.
Sometimes you have to dig pretty deep to find some of the eye candy, like the 3D buttons.

  17. Well, I have not made many videos in a long time due to screen capture problems with Ubuntu 9.10, and on Linux Mint 8 it worked fine. Should I just go back to Mint? I like them both the same.

  18. @EasyLinux basically the same if you can setup ubuntu you dont need mint

Got Linux Mint 8 installed on my new Ferrari 200 netbook. Everything seemed to work out of the box except with the wifi. I played around with the router and the nic manager and found that changing my router to G only and replacing the network manager with wicd fixed the problem with wireless getting dropped. I had tried the Ubuntu Netbook Remix and it would just freeze up way too much for the amount of memory this llittle notebook has. Linux Mint works much better on this little machine.

those wireless problems will be all fixed in the next version… iv been beta testing and wireless is working out of the box now with all new wireless chips in netbooks

  22. @tsolorio3001 If you really want things to fly for ya, use the Mint LXDE edition for that machine. :)

It would have been better if you paused the video while it installed. I can understand why you wouldn’t if there was something useful to see, but there wasn’t.

True enough, and no disrespect intended. I think your videos are cool overall and I appreciate you taking the time to inform others.
