Linux live cd problems?

I took the iso file, burned it to a cd and tried to boot it on my laptop AND desktop and it doesn’t work!!! I do not know any boot commands, all I did was put the cd in and re-boot. Please help!

Thanks,
Blake

  1. Assuming you burned the CD correctly (didn’t burn it as just data), when the computer reboots, you have to load from the CD/DVD drive first.

When the computer reboots, you should see a message that says F8 or F12 (one of the F keys) to set up bios or boot order (something along that line of thought)

Push the button and change the order of boot sequence. You want to boot the CD/DVD before your Hard drive.

  2. Be sure that you did burn the iso properly and set your computer to boot from the cdrom drive.
    Good luck
