Installing Ubuntu Linux from live cd… touchpad not working.?

Hi,
I am trying to install the latest version of Ubuntu Linux on a brand new machine, which happens to be a laptop. I put in the live cd and it loads… gets to the desktop and when i go to use the touchpad to click install it fails to work.

Is there a way to use the touchpad… ive not got another mouse available…

    ITS A DRIVER PROBLEM MY WIRELESS AND SOUND CANT WORK IF YOU ARE GOING TO INSTALL GO TO UBUNTU HELP PAGES ETC EG BLOGS TYPE IN YOUR MODEL ALSO HOPEFULLY THEIR IS A FIX
