i am currently using ubuntu which is a kind of linux and its a live cd and it dosent ask for my password to get in the computer but i did it becasue i forgott my password to my windows xp proffesional edition sp2 and i tried using safe mode but it says some thing like we appolagize for the inconvinience and something else but i am sure 100% its not a virus becasue i had an anti virus and firewalls and anti spies but its just that i for gott it can some one tell another way to log in

Nice use of linux!
1. 90% of the time, there is no password for “administrator.” Try loggin in as Administrator in safe mode and change your user p/w from there.
2. If that doesn’t work, google “sc000219.zip”. That will guild you to making a boot floppy that will allow you to change passwords (change Administrator).

…umm, ur question is really hard 2 make sense of, but from wat i could understand, u lost ur password 2 WinXP and so ur using linux and ur trying to get ur password back. if thats the case then ur only option is 2 reformat (completely erase) ur hardrive and reinstall windows however first get on linux and remove all ur important documents and files onto a flash drive or other device. also to reinstall xp ull need the original xp cd if u dont hav it then ur only options r 2 reformat the drive and either install linux properly or buy another copy of xp and install that instead.
