All the violence and computer cruelty probably short circuited one of the fiber optic cables or damaged the hard drive. Tell her that Kubuntu doesn't damage hard drives and it was all her fault. To treat the problem you must bring it in to an expert or you can fix it your self. I've never heard of anyone who would hit their computer, was your mom drunk or something?
