I current have Windows XP and am runing Linux Ubuntu from a live cd, how do i get a boot menu to select an OS on startup. I do not want to reinstall.

You r running linux from live cd… Then there is no option for dual boot.. If u cd is inside cdrom and your first boot device is cdrom then it will boot linux otherwise it will boot ur winxp os.

You’ll have to load the OS on disk. The you’ll have an OS choices menu.

You are dealing with Linux so you should have some background with computers and software. What you will have to do is partition you all ready existing C:/ drive and then install Linux on the second partition and on boot up it will prompt you with a screen on witch OS that you wish to load.
