Hi,
I installed uBuntu last week. All was fine, rebooted fine etc. Until i turned on my pc today. It just stopped at the “loading GRUB Page”. Heres what it said..
”
GRUB loading..stage1.5
GRUB Loading, Please wait.
Error 15
”
As i said it’s never, ever done this before, just when i turned on my pc today. The last time i shut down uBuntu i didn’t tell it to shut down, i said to hibernate. Could this have caused it? And i’ve done some research on Google. It says GRUBS looking for a file and can’t find it///// Well i hav’nt messed with any files anywhere on the hard drive with linux on it , nor have i messed with the root of my WinXP Hard Drive.
Specs:
> WINXP Dual Boot With Ubuntu

NB: I’m using the Live CD to post this becauase I Cannot boot to WINXP OR LINUX!!!

1nce again – PLEASE HELPP!!
You’re Ubuntu’s GRUB Loader is unable to find the Windows OS present.
You need to configure it before installing.
What you can do is, install RedHat 9.0 or higher, Suse, Mandrake, etc which has GUI based installation. They’ll ask you where is the Windows directory present. Then after installation, the GRUB Loader will give you a choice of Windows or Linux and will boot in the OS which you’ve choosen.
You can refer the source which is the forum for Linux Forums and you can ask in your doubts to get technical answers.

I think that means it can’t find menu.lst so I have really no clue what you can do beyond there except to reinstall.
