guys i was sick of windows and i switched myself to linux (granular code name esto vello) couple of months ago
i was havin windows vista and granular linux
2 days everything was fine
3rd day i got this stupid motherfucking error called
grub error 17
nothing wud boot
not even a LIVE CD
i tried everything SUPERGRUB disk
i ubuntuforum guys,granularlinux guys,they had no clue
nothing wud boot
atlast i had to format the whole thing
NOw i want to install linux again(coz am havin a subject)
CAN ANY! TELL ME HOW TO INSTALL LINUX ALONG WITH WINDOWS SO THAT I WONT BE GETTING THAT SHITTY ERROR?
and also the solution for this fucking error
Enter BIOS
Make sure all HDD’s are detected.
Take note of (write down) the current settings just in case you need to set things back later
Search for the HDD that has Linux installed and set its MODE to AUTO (not LBA, large, or normal)
Also, if you have this option available, set TYPE to USER, but don’t change any of the figures that were automatically detected.
And you are done.
Just in case this doesn’t work, then:
Set all drives to TYPE –> USER and MODE –> AUTO (not LBA, large or normal)
