If I got linux on a Live CD and booted it, could I unboot it and go back to windows? And how would you boot it?

Remove the CD unless it wasn’t a LiveCD and loaded to your computer.

IF you boot the linux livcd and run it and do not install it when you stop linux and remove the cd and restart your computer windows will be the same as you left it. It is just like running a movie dvd.
