do i have any chance of doing that?
the computer im doing it on is a Dell with an Intel Celeron processor, not that that even matters
it’s old and has XP on it, which as you can imagine being Windows is lame
and all i have is Live DVDs of Linux and Unix not CD’s
any suggestions?
As long as the drive is plugged in, you should be able to select it from a boot list if you press the proper function key to get into the boot menu. Different motherboards have different boot menu keys, yours is likely F8. Press it at the BIOS screen, before the Windows screen. It should be part of the list.
Common sense, to be honest
