They are totally different operating system.. vista & backtrack will never work together.. Either vista or backtrack (BT) can be used.. OK, let me clarify: say, windows98 and vista.. you can not use them together. Same like this, you can not use BT & vista together. But you can try BT by burning a CD and boot your PC from CD drive. Hope that it helps.. Thanks

shows how much you know. i am currently running a computer that has windows 2000, windows xp, windows vista, backtrack 2 full, backtrack 3 beta and xubuntu all on one computer. its called dual booting or triple booting and so on. maybe you should read up a little bit before you pass judgement on something you have failed to succeed at. hope to hear back from you soon with a smart ass remark to my comment. lol

and in addition there is a program called vmware workstation and player that allows you to virtually mount different operating systems in a operating system. so i could be running windows xp and use vmware to run backtrack 3 beta in a different window or vice versa

you are all a bunch of fuckin n00bs and totally give it away by the questions and statements you are posting. if you dont know the answers to the questions you are asking then you have no reason to try to start learning linux using backtrack as a starter os. backtrack 3 is for people such as myself who have been using linux for years and in the network security field

“i hack with this” lol. ok. rule number one: never tell anyone you “hack”. but we all no in you instance that when you say you “hack” it really means that you “know how to use yahoo booters” or something lame of that nature

Ok, so I downloaded BackTrack 3 Beta, and burned it to a CD with Active ISO burner, but now I don’t know how to get it to boot from my comp. I went to the startup menu when you first turn your comp on, and changed for the disk to boot before the hard drive does. What now? Why isn’t it working? Anyone know? My only possible guess is that I need to turn on OS Installation Mode? I tried that already though, and it gave me an error warning or something like that.
