The vmware image only works with vmware virtual machines software. So to install it’s easiest to download the .iso file and using something like daemon tools, mount the .iso and burn the files to a dvd… alternatively you can make a install it to a usb by using winbootin (search for it on google) and selecting the .iso file you have already downloaded (the live cd one, not the usb one) and pressing o.k.
To install you then put in the dvd or usb, reboot and click on the install.sh script.
You need to install to a blank partition on your hard drive which means you may have to shrink your windows partition first.
However, i’m sorry to sound like a bit of a prick, if you are needing to get help with this on yahoo answers you may want to try experimenting on an old pc/laptop first to get to grips with this stuff as you can muck your pc/laptop up easily if not careful
